About the training
Module 1 - The management role and the leadership role 
What is the difference between being a manager and leader? 
What is involved in creating successful leadership? Creating successful results through performance management. By using the communication tool Extended DISC, we identify your communication and behavioral strengths and development potential. You design a personal development and action plan. 

Module 2 - Coaching approach- leadership coaching
What is coaching and how can I use it. How to create a coaching culture? What do I do to increase motivation and commitment among employees?  Coaching skills according to ICF's core competencies and practical coaching exercises linked to the development talk. What has happened within the area of brain research/neuroscience and how can I use it when I communicate, lead teams and lead the change process? Neuroscience is linked to behavior, feelings and dispositition. How we affect and are affected by other people. 

Module 3 – Managing the change process.
We learn to understand the mechanisms of change and how we can reduce resistance and more effectively manage change. The Transitions-model meets the employees in the various phases of change. By common tools and strategies we identify employee potential resistance to maintain motivation and commitment to change through different phases.

  • The discussion - practical exercises
Module 3 – Managing the process of change
  • Learn the basics of being a change leader.
  • Effective change management under the Transition-model.
  • To lead and manage the human side of change.
  •  Why change frequently fails?
  • How do you get employees onboard for the change process?
  • Reactions to change - communicate and adapt the situation.
Course structure and teaching methods: 
Newstarts pedagogy is based on an experience-based learning to take advantage of the participants' own experiences. The course combines theory with work in pairs and group exercises. Learning provides space for personal reflection and analysis. The program is very active and practical. 

Successful leadership is divided into three modules spread over 2 + 1 days of hands-on practice and application between sessions. You will have created a personal development and action plan.  You turn your ideas into concrete actions and new insights. 

Before the training, you will carry out an Extended DISC - a communication tool that provides a deeper insight into your own communication and leadership style.
